Adarsha Kutumbam (1969)

Adarsha Kutumbam ("the ideal family") is a 1969 Telugu family drama directed by K. Pratyagatma, a director known for social and domestic stories. Akkineni Nageswara Rao leads the cast with Jayalalithaa, who was then also working in Telugu films, and veteran Anjali Devi in a senior role. As the title suggests, the story is about duty, sacrifice and misunderstandings within a joint family, and how its members find their way back to one another, told with the songs and gentle melodrama typical of the period.
