Bud Naseeb (1986)

Bud Naseeb ("ill-fated") is a 1986 Hindi drama directed by Shiv Kumar, with Sadhana Singh, Pradeep Saxena, Ahalya and Bhakti Bhansali. As its title suggests, it is a story of misfortune, following characters whose lives are buffeted by cruel circumstances, family pressures and injustice, in the emotional melodrama style common to mid-budget Hindi films of the decade. It is a modest, little-documented production for viewers interested in lesser-known 1980s cinema.
