Thandege Thakka Maga (2006)

Thandege Thakka Maga ("a son worthy of his father") is a 2006 Kannada film directed by S. Mahendar, a director known for rural family dramas. It brings together two very different stars: veteran Ambareesh, the "Rebel Star" of Kannada cinema, and Upendra, known for his eccentric, rule-breaking screen persona. Laila, popular in Tamil and Telugu films of the period, is the heroine. As the title suggests, the story turns on the bond between a father and son and the son's fight to uphold the family's honour, mixing emotion, action and songs in the style of mainstream Kannada cinema of the 2000s.
