Three close friends are ordinary young men in a small town, busy with jobs, local politics and their own hopes of love. When a friend tells them that the woman he loves is being forced to marry someone else, they throw themselves into helping the couple elope, a daring operation that costs them dearly in body, family and future. What happens after the rescue tests everything they believed about friendship and sacrifice. Hudugaru ("boys") is the 2011 Kannada remake of the Tamil hit Naadodigal, with Puneeth Rajkumar, Srinagar Kitty and Yogesh as the friends, Radhika Pandit as the heroine and Abhinaya repeating her role from the original. V. Harikrishna's songs and Puneeth's energetic performance made it one of the big Kannada hits of the year.
