Angaaray (1986)

Angaaray is a 1986 Hindi drama directed by Rajesh Sethi, bringing together three of the decade's most familiar faces: Rajesh Khanna, Smita Patil and Raj Babbar. Like many films of its time, it builds its story around wrongs done to ordinary people and the fire, the "embers" of the title, that those wrongs leave behind. It is one of several films Smita Patil made in her final years, when she moved freely between art-house work and mainstream Hindi cinema, and it offers a chance to see her opposite both Rajesh Khanna and Raj Babbar, with whom she was frequently paired on screen.
