Gundamma Gaari Manavadu (2007)

Gundamma Gaari Manavadu ("Gundamma's grandson") is a 2007 Telugu comedy that gives popular comedian Ali one of his leading-man turns, with Sindhuri and Nicole as the heroines. The title nods to the 1962 classic Gundamma Katha, and the film builds its fun around a grandson, his formidable grandmother and the romantic tangles he gets into. Expect broad situational comedy, songs and Ali's trademark verbal and physical humour rather than a story of great depth. It is a light watch for fans of Ali's long career as one of Telugu cinema's best-known comic actors.
