Robinhood (2009)

Money is vanishing from the ATMs of one particular bank across Kerala, and no one can explain how. The bank brings in Felix, a private investigator, and Roopa, a security consultant, to track down the thief. The audience knows from early on that the man behind it is Venkatesh, a quiet, brilliant engineer, and the pleasure of the film lies in the cat-and-mouse game between him and the people hunting him, and in the slow uncovering of why he is targeting this bank alone. Directed by the veteran Joshiy and written by the duo Sachi and Sethu, Robinhood is a slick heist thriller that gave Prithviraj one of his early stylish roles. Its theme of a modern Robin Hood using technology against a powerful institution was fresh in Malayalam cinema at the time.
