Venkataramana is a guitarist in a small music troupe, a kind soul who keeps getting cheated by the people around him. On a trip to Europe he meets Pooja and falls for her, only to discover that she comes from a family of hot-headed faction leaders who would never accept an ordinary musician. Back in India, he slips into their household and uses patience, cunning and plenty of help from a bumbling sidekick to bring the family round. Namo Venkatesa is a light Sreenu Vaitla entertainer in the style he perfected in Dhee and Ready: a comic first half abroad, a household full of confused relatives, and Brahmanandam in a big comic role. Devi Sri Prasad's songs add to the festive mood.
