Naach (2004)

Reva is a choreographer who refuses to compromise her idea of dance as pure art, and Abhinav is a struggling actor hoping for his break. They meet, fall in love and try to make their way in the Mumbai film industry, but as one of them begins to succeed and the other remains on the margins, their relationship is strained by ambition, ego and pride. Naach is a mood-driven drama by Ram Gopal Varma, a departure from his crime films, built around stylised dance sequences and Antara Mali's central performance. It was not a commercial success but is noted for its visual style.
