An officer of the 06 Edakkad Battalion returns to his home town in Kerala on leave. Between family gatherings, old friends and a growing romance with a young woman, the film shows the ordinary life a soldier leaves behind, and the pride and worry of the people who wait for him. When his unit is called into a hostile operation, the story moves from the warmth of home to the tension of combat, and he has to lead his men against armed militants. Directed by Swapnesh K. Nair, the film stars Tovino Thomas, one of the busiest Malayalam leading men of 2019, as the soldier, with Samyuktha Menon, who also paired with him in Theevandi and Kalki, as the heroine. It is a patriotic drama that balances its action with a gentle, small-town first half.
