Singam II (2013)

The fiery officer Durai Singam is believed to have left the police, and he now works as the NCC master at a school in the port town of Thoothukudi. In truth he is on a secret mission: smuggled weapons and drugs are flowing through the coast, protected by local strongmen and controlled by Danny, a ruthless international dealer. While he gathers evidence, Singam has to keep his cover, handle his patient fiancee Kavya and fend off a schoolgirl who has developed a crush on him. Then the mission explodes into the open. Singam II is a sequel to Hari's 2010 hit Singam and was even bigger at the box office. Parts were shot in South Africa, and the series continued with Si3 in 2017.
