Ann Maria is a bright, stubborn schoolgirl who lives with her mother in a Kerala town. When a sports teacher at school mistreats her and gets away with it, she is furious and decides to take revenge herself. She finds an unlikely partner in Gireesh, nicknamed Poombatta ("butterfly"), a petty thief with more heart than skill, and their schemes lead to a series of comic misadventures and a growing friendship. Sara Arjun, known as a child star from Deiva Thirumagal, carries the film, Sunny Wayne is funny and touching as the crook, and Dulquer Salmaan appears in a charming guest role. A warm children's film with a light fairy-tale touch, it was dubbed into Telugu as Pilla Rakshasi.
