Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994)

A Goan boy who cannot play the trumpet, cannot pass an exam, and cannot get the girl, who spends the film lying to make all three come true and then has to watch them not. Shah Rukh Khan leads, with Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Deepak Tijori; Kundan Shah directed, after Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. Khan has said repeatedly that it is his own favourite of his performances, and the film's refusal to let him win is what makes it unusual. The Internet Archive copy was uploaded with its format details disguised, so playback is withheld here; the entry stays listed and the Archive's own page remains reachable.
