Sanjay from Bihar and Aditi from Rajasthan meet in college in Delhi, fall in love and want to marry. The problem is their families, both proud, conservative and certain to object to a match across caste and region. Their solution is outrageous: they hire theatre actors, led by Sanjay's friend Zubina, to play a set of fake parents, and arrange two separate weddings, one for each family, that is fourteen rounds of the sacred fire instead of seven. Keeping the lies straight across two households becomes ever harder. The comedy pokes fun at caste pride and honour while carrying a serious undertone about how far young couples are pushed to marry the person they love. Gauahar Khan's stage actress turning in a scene-stealing performance was a highlight.
