My Love (1970)

My Love is a 1970 Hindi romantic drama directed by S. Sukhdev, pairing Shashi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore, two of the most popular romantic leads of the period. The story follows a love affair that is threatened by family opposition and by people who try to force the heroine into a marriage against her will, and the lovers must fight to stay together. The film is best remembered today for its music by Daan Singh, an under-recognised composer whose songs here, including the Mukesh numbers "Woh tere pyar ka gham" and "Zikr hota hai jab qayamat ka", remain much loved by fans of old Hindi film music.
