Three very different men arrive in Pondicherry at the same time, and all three answer to the name Laxminarayan. They have nothing else in common: different temperaments, different jobs and very different reasons for being there. When a valuable diamond and a feared local don enter the picture, every phone call, room number and message goes to the wrong Laxminarayan, and the confusion snowballs into a farce involving the don's associates, a police officer and the women in the three men's lives. The film is a broad mistaken-identity comedy that leans heavily on Paresh Rawal's timing, with Suniel Shetty and Tusshar Kapoor playing off him. It belongs to the wave of ensemble slapstick comedies that filled Hindi cinema in the late 2000s.
