Neeya 2 (2019)

Neeya 2 returns to the snake-woman legend that south Indian cinema loves: a man, his love life and a serpent who takes human form and whose bond with him reaches back across lifetimes. Jai plays the hero, with Raai Laxmi, Catherine Tresa and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the women around him, and a series of snake attacks providing the thrills. The film takes its title from Neeya (1979), the Tamil hit starring Sripriya and Kamal Haasan about a vengeful snake woman, though it tells a new story. It is aimed squarely at fans of the naagin fantasy genre.
