Vir Vijay Singh leads a special intelligence unit tracking a flow of money that seems to be funding something huge. The trail points to a plot to detonate a nuclear device in Delhi on 16 December, Vijay Diwas, the anniversary of India's victory in the 1971 war. With a dangerous mastermind, a network of hidden operatives and very little time, Vir and his team chase leads through the city and beyond. 16 December is a slick espionage thriller and the first feature by Mani Shankar, who brought a technical, investigative style unusual for Hindi films of the time. Milind Soman leads the cast, and it was the film debut of Dipannita Sharma.
