Rakshasudu (1986)

Rakshasudu ("demon") is a Telugu action film based on a novel by the popular writer Yandamuri Veerendranath. Chiranjeevi plays a man who grew up an orphan in harsh, criminal surroundings, became fierce and unyielding, and is then drawn into a mission against a ruthless gang, a fight that also tests his capacity for love. Radha and Suhasini are the two women in his life. Directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy, who made many of Chiranjeevi's 1980s hits, with music by Ilaiyaraaja, it belongs to the run of films that turned Chiranjeevi into the biggest star in Telugu cinema.
