Disco Singh (2014)

Disco Singh is a light Punjabi musical comedy built around Diljit Dosanjh's charm. He plays a would-be star of the wedding and stage circuit who is sure that fame is just around the corner, and whose efforts to impress both audiences and the woman he likes, played by Surveen Chawla, land him in one mess after another. The film reunited Diljit with director Anurag Singh after their hits Jatt & Juliet and Jatt & Juliet 2, and it leans on the same mix of quick dialogue, misunderstandings and catchy Punjabi songs. It is easy family entertainment made at the point when Diljit was becoming the biggest star in Punjabi cinema.
