The Last Frontier — Chapter 3: The Black Ghost Strikes

A chapter from an American movie serial — the weekly chapter-plays that screened before the main feature through the 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s. Each ran about twenty minutes and closed on a cliffhanger meant to bring the audience back the following Saturday. The Last Frontier was made in 1932, early enough that the form was still finding its shape, and it is remembered now partly for giving Lon Chaney Jr. one of his first screen roles, billed then under his own name of Creighton Chaney. The Last Frontier (1932), chapter 3, "The Black Ghost Strikes". Released 1932-09-16.
