Description

The hero is a carefree young man who falls for a lively young woman played by Anushka Shetty. At the same time he quietly watches over another young woman, whose family has been torn apart by a ruthless faction leader, and the reason he is so protective of her lies in a past he has not shared. When the villain's men come for her, he is drawn into a violent fight that leads back to the truth about his own family. Souryam was the debut film of director Siva, who later became known in Tamil cinema for his films with Ajith Kumar. Gopichand's heroic image and Mani Sharma's songs helped it become a commercial success, and it paired him with Anushka Shetty.
