Kaattu Vithachavar (2023)

Kaattu Vithachavar ("those who sowed the wind") is a Malayalam drama starring Prakash Bare and Tini Tom. It looks back at the period of the Emergency in the mid-1970s, when civil liberties were suspended, and at the abuses committed by people in uniform against ordinary citizens and political activists, as well as the way such wounds stay with those who survive them. It is a modest, issue-driven production rather than a commercial entertainer, and circulates in Hindi as Police Diary.
