Saawariya – Khatu Shyam Ji Ki Amar Gaatha is a Hindi devotional drama about faith in Khatu Shyam, the deity worshipped at the famous temple at Khatu in Rajasthan and identified with Barbarika, the grandson of Bhima from the Mahabharata. Directed by Vinod Chhabra, it stars Ashmit Patel and Sara Khan, with Shakti Kapoor in support, and weaves the legend of Shyam Baba together with a present-day story of devotees whose troubles are eased by their faith. It is aimed squarely at family and devotional audiences, with bhajans and temple scenes.
