Sreeramakrishnan is an Assistant Commissioner of Police and Milan Paul a crusading journalist, and the two have been inseparable since college. When a string of murders shakes the city, the cases look unconnected: the killers have no obvious motive, and the dead men seem to have nothing in common. As Sreeramakrishnan digs deeper, with Milan helping in his own way, the pattern behind the crimes begins to emerge and it leads into troubling territory close to home. Masters is a crime thriller from Johny Antony, better known for comedies, and it marked the Malayalam debut of Tamil director-actor Sasikumar, whose friendship with Prithviraj on screen is at the heart of the film. It is known in Hindi as Policegiri.
