Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander is a Malayalam gangster film from 2015 and a follow-up to Samrajyam (1990), in which Mammootty played the stylish underworld boss Alexander. Here Unni Mukundan plays Alexander's son, who inherits his father's enemies along with his legend, and Tamil actor-director R. Parthiban appears in a major role. It was directed by Perarasu, known for Tamil mass films such as Thirupaachi. The original Samrajyam was a big hit, and the sequel leans heavily on the memory of Mammootty's character.
