Durai (2008)

Durai is a 2008 Tamil action film directed by A. Venkatesh, who had earlier made Bagavathi with Vijay, starring Arjun, Tamil cinema's "Action King", in the title role. Kirat Bhattal and Mallika Kapoor appear as the heroines. The film follows the familiar pattern of Arjun's action vehicles of the period, built around a determined hero, family emotion and a series of fights against powerful villains. It was a modest release, and its plot details are not well documented, so it is best approached as a straightforward star-driven action film. In Hindi it has circulated as Garjana.
