The third film in Sundar C's Aranmanai ("palace") horror-comedy series follows the formula fans expect: a grand old mansion, a family gathering, a vengeful spirit with a tragic backstory, and a mix of screams and slapstick. Raashii Khanna plays a woman who comes back to her family's palace and finds a malevolent presence at work, Arya plays the man she loves, and Sundar C. plays the man who investigates the haunting. The comedy is supplied by Yogi Babu and Vivek, in one of the last films the much-loved comedian completed before his death in April 2021. It is a festive, big-ensemble entertainer.
