Oru Nadigaiyin Vaakkumoolam

Oru Nadigaiyin Vaakkumoolam ("an actress's statement") is a Tamil drama directed by Rajkrishna, with Sonia Agarwal as a young woman who comes to the film industry with dreams of becoming a heroine. Told as her own account, it follows the compromises, exploitation and loneliness behind the glamour, and the people who use her rise for their own ends. Jithan Ramesh appears in a key role. The film was seen as a frank look at the pressures faced by actresses, and it is known in Telugu as Kathanayaki.
