Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965)

Rita, the daughter of a wealthy businessman, comes to Kashmir for a holiday and stays on the houseboat of Raja, a cheerful, innocent young boatman. He shows her the lakes and valleys, and she is charmed by his honesty while he falls deeply in love with her. When Raja follows her to the city, the gap between his simple ways and her family's high society, and the plans of those who want her money, put their love to a hard test. Jab Jab Phool Khile was one of Shashi Kapoor's biggest early hits, and its Kashmir locations and Kalyanji–Anandji's songs, including Pardesiyon Se Na Akhiyan Milana and Yeh Samaa, remain much loved. Raja Hindustani (1996) was loosely based on its story.
