Vasishta, a basketball player who has his pick of admirers, falls hard for Sahasra, a confident young woman he meets at a wedding. Winning her is only the beginning: trouble surrounding her family stands in the way, and Vasishta must deal with it before the two can marry. The film is a bright, song-filled family romance in the style its presenter K. Raghavendra Rao made famous, and he also appears on screen. It is a follow-up in spirit to the 1996 hit Pelli Sandadi, which starred Srikanth, father of lead actor Roshan Meka, and M. M. Keeravani returns as composer. The film marked the Telugu debut of Sreeleela, whose dancing made her an overnight star.
