Khaali Peeli (2020)

Blackie is a cocky Mumbai taxi driver with a past he would rather forget. One night a young woman jumps into his cab carrying a bag stuffed with money and jewellery, with a dangerous man and his henchmen hard on her heels. As the night wears on and the chase moves across the city, Blackie realises that his passenger is someone from his childhood, and the two of them are linked by more than chance. The film is a colourful, energetic chase comedy with the feel of a 1980s masala entertainer, starring two young actors from film families, Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday, with Jaideep Ahlawat as the villain. Its Mumbai street settings and taxi-driver hero deliberately recall the films of an earlier era.
