Krishna has grown up in America, kept away from his family in Andhra for reasons nobody fully explains to him. When he finally travels home, he falls for a girl along the way and starts to discover the old enmities and dangers that made his elders send him away in the first place. Soon he is the target of men who want the family wiped out, and the easy-going visitor has to fight to protect relatives he barely knows. Krishnashtami was produced by Dil Raju and is one of the films in which comedian Sunil reinvented himself as a full action hero, with dance numbers, romance and fights built around him, and Brahmanandam supplying comic relief.
