Officer (2018)

Shivaji Rao is a strict, honest police officer brought to Mumbai to look into a senior cop who is admired for killing gangsters in "encounters" but is suspected of running crime himself. As Shivaji digs into the case, his target strikes back, and the investigation becomes a personal duel that endangers his young daughter. Officer reunited Nagarjuna with Ram Gopal Varma nearly three decades after their landmark debut together in Siva, and Varma returned to the cop-and-gangster world of his Mumbai films. It is loosely said to be inspired by a real police officer's career. The film was not a commercial success.
