Aravindan has grown up in an ashram that taught him honesty above all, and he cannot accept the small bribes and shortcuts that the rest of society takes for granted. After a traffic fine turns into a humiliating brush with corrupt officials, he decides to expose the system by creating a man who does not exist, getting him every official document, from birth certificate to passport, purely through bribes. The plan works too well and brings down the anger of the powerful people involved. Samuthirakani's social drama is a sharp, angry look at everyday corruption, carried by Jayam Ravi, who also plays a second role in a later twist. Music is by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The director remade the story in Telugu the following year as Janda Pai Kapiraju with Nani.
