Tum Haseen Main Jawan (1970)

Tum Haseen Main Jawan is a 1970 romantic comedy that paired Dharmendra and Hema Malini in the early days of what became one of Hindi cinema's most loved screen couples. Dharmendra plays a dashing, fun-loving officer whose easy life is turned upside down when he finds himself looking after an infant, while his growing romance with Hema Malini's character is complicated by secrets, family pressures and the schemes of Pran, who brings his usual menace to the story. The film mixes light comedy, misunderstandings and melodrama in the style of the period, with the leads clearly enjoying their banter. Its Shankar-Jaikishan soundtrack is a big part of the appeal, including the title song and the playful "Munne Ki Amma Yeh To Bata". It is a good pick for anyone who wants to see the Dharmendra and Hema Malini pairing at its breezy best.
