Varavu Nalla Uravu (1990)

Varavu Nalla Uravu is a Tamil family drama written and directed by Visu, the filmmaker known for talky, warm-hearted stories about the struggles of middle-class households. As in many of his films, Visu also acts, here alongside Rekha and Kishmu, in a tale of a family where income, expenses and expectations pull relatives apart and together. The title plays on the Tamil saying about earnings and good relations. Expect sharp dialogue, gentle comedy and a moral at the end, typical of Visu's cinema.
