A young man named Rahim dies after falling from a moving train, and the case is closed as suicide. A CB-CID officer is asked to look again, at the same time as he gets married. Soon after the wedding, his bride starts acting strangely, and it becomes clear that Rahim's restless spirit wants the truth found. Investigation and haunting move forward together, with Vadivelu providing comedy as a small-time thief. Sivalinga is P. Vasu's Tamil remake of his own Kannada hit Shivalinga (2016), with Raghava Lawrence, star of the Kanchana horror-comedies, in the lead and Ritika Singh, of Irudhi Suttru, as his wife.
