Raaj The Showman (2009)

Raaj is an exuberant young man who has grown up idolising the stars of Kannada cinema and dreams of becoming one himself. His journey towards the film world brings him fame-hungry friends, rivals, a romance with the character played by Nisha Kothari and plenty of trouble. Director Prem, known for big, stylised commercial films such as Jogi, built the film around Puneeth Rajkumar's dancing and screen energy, with frequent tributes to the legacy of Puneeth's father, Dr. Rajkumar. V. Harikrishna composed the songs, which were a major part of the film's appeal.
