Super Over (2021)

Kasi, a young man in debt, places a bet on a cricket match with his friends and wins a large sum. Collecting the money is another matter: the cash belongs to people who do not like losing, and over one long night in Hyderabad the friends are chased by bookies, a dangerous gang and the police, while their own trust in each other starts to crack. Super Over is a compact crime thriller that uses the world of illegal cricket betting as its backdrop and plays out almost in real time. Naveen Chandra, Chandini Chowdary and Rakendu Mouli play the three friends. The film was the debut of director Praveen Varma, who died in a road accident before the film was released.
