Kannupada Poguthaiya (1999)

Kannupada Poguthaiya ("the evil eye will fall") is a 1999 Tamil family action drama directed by Bharathi Kannan, with Vijayakanth in the lead, Simran as the heroine and Sivakumar in an important role. In the mould of Vijayakanth's rural entertainers, it combines family sentiment, a strong sense of duty and justice, and punchy action as the hero stands up for his people. The Hindi upload title, Karam Putra, sums up its idea of a son defined by his deeds.
