Wanted (1961)

Wanted is a 1961 Hindi crime film directed by Nisar Ahmad Ansari, a film-maker who made several modest thrillers in the period. Vijay Kumar and Sayeeda Khan play the leads, and Johnny Walker, the most popular comedian of the era, provides the comic relief. As the title suggests, the story revolves around a man on the wrong side of the law and the chase that follows, told in the style of the city crime pictures of the time, with songs. Little else is widely documented about the film.
