Neti Siddhartha (1990)

Neti Siddhartha ("today's Siddhartha") is one of Nagarjuna's early action films, made in the period when he was establishing himself as a star after Shiva. He plays Siddhartha, a young man who refuses to accept injustice and is drawn into conflict with powerful criminals. Shobana and Ayesha Jhulka are the heroines; this was among Ayesha Jhulka's early films before her Hindi stardom. Director Kranthi Kumar was known for socially minded dramas, and the film mixes that concern with action set-pieces.
