Paan Khaye Saiyan Hamaar (1984)

Paan Khaye Saiyan Hamaar ("my beloved who chews paan") is a Bhojpuri film from 1984 starring Sujit Kumar, one of the best-known faces of early Bhojpuri cinema, who also produced films in the language. Its main draw for many viewers is the presence of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, who appear in guest roles at the height of their fame, a rare crossover of Hindi superstars into a regional film of the period. The film belongs to the rural family and romance tradition of Bhojpuri cinema of its decade, with folk-flavoured songs at its heart.
