Asura (2015)

Asura is a Telugu crime thriller set largely inside a prison. Nara Rohit plays Dharma Teja, a disciplined jail superintendent who takes pride in running a tight ship. A ruthless convict sentenced to death is under his watch, and as the date of the hanging nears, the officer realises that the prisoner and his network outside are preparing a daring escape. The film becomes a battle of wits between the two men, with Dharma forced to bend his own rules to stop him. Priya Banerjee plays the female lead. It was one of the better-received films in Nara Rohit's run of content-driven projects in the mid-2010s.
