404: Error Not Found (2011)

Abhimanyu, a bright and confident first-year student at a prestigious medical college, laughs at the seniors who warn him about room 404, where a student is said to have taken his own life years before, and insists on living there. Soon he begins to see and hear things he cannot explain, and his psychiatry professor, the brilliant Dr. Aniruddh, starts to wonder whether the cause is ghosts or the mind. Director Prawaal Raman, who earlier worked on the anthology Darna Zaroori Hai, built the film as a psychological thriller rather than a conventional horror movie. Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat gives a notable performance as the professor, and the film was praised by critics for its restraint despite a small release.
