Vishal is serving a life sentence for killing the men who destroyed his family when an idealistic journalist, Roma, campaigns for his release. Her employer, the blind newspaper owner Jindal, offers Vishal a deal: freedom, in exchange for eliminating the drug gangs poisoning the city. As bodies pile up, Inspector Amar Saxena starts investigating, and both he and Vishal begin to suspect that nobody is quite who they seem. Mohra was one of the biggest hits of 1994 and a turning point in the careers of Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. Its soundtrack by Viju Shah was a phenomenon, with Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast and the rain song Tip Tip Barsa Paani becoming two of the most famous songs of the decade. Naseeruddin Shah's cool performance as Jindal is also widely remembered.
