Swamir Ghar (2000)

Swamir Ghar ("husband's home") is a 2000 Bengali family drama directed by Swapan Saha, one of the busiest makers of mainstream Bengali melodrama of the period. Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta, the most popular screen pair in Bengali cinema in those years, play the couple, with the veteran Soumitra Chatterjee in a senior role. The story follows the tensions a wife faces in her in-laws' household and the loyalty that holds the family together.
