Hawa Mahal (1962)

Hawa Mahal is a black-and-white Hindi film from 1962, directed by B. J. Patel. It stars Anand Kumar, with Helen, then at the height of her fame as Hindi cinema's best-known dancer, in the cast. It was one of the many smaller studio productions of the period that relied on songs, dances and an easy mix of romance and adventure rather than big stars. Few details of the film are widely recorded today, and it is mostly of interest to admirers of Helen and of the B-circuit films of early-1960s Bombay.
