Road Wars (2015)

Road Wars is a low-budget post-apocalyptic action film directed by Mark Atkins for The Asylum, the American studio known for fast, cheap genre pictures. A virus has turned much of the population into violent, deranged killers, and a small band of uninfected survivors roams a desert landscape in armoured vehicles, scavenging fuel and fighting off attacks while searching for safety. Its models are obvious, Mad Max above all, and the pleasure is in the car chases, makeshift weapons and wasteland mood rather than in story or polish.
